I would like to apologise for my absence this week. It turns out that I somehow forgot how to manage time correctly.  It feels like it was just Monday and I blinked and now it is Sunday but time at school seems to be a drag (just had to put it out there and make things clear).

It's very cold,  waking up in the morning is very hard and it is very windy. Spring better hurry up. I think it's right time to count down to spring. You can never be too early. I think I started counting down to spring at the beginning of autumn.  It just about a month and a couple of days away and I am super excited. 

Another thing I am excited about is my online magazine, Illimitable, it launches on Saturday and I would love you could take a look and spread the word.  There's going to feature art, photography and some interesting articles from young contributers all around the world.  Isn't that just exciting? It makes me forget all about the cold weather. 

Today's outfit is very simple.  I call it the 'I don't feel like dressing up' look. Some days I just wake up not really feeling like dressing up. I think we can blame the cold weather and the exhausting school week for that.

My jeans may or may not have been ripped when I fell while ice-skating.  You probably know which one it is. I think the ice-rink did me a favour, it completed the whole edgy, rock feel to my acid wash jeans. I got my jeans from Cotton On and I think everyone needs a pair of skinny jeans.  They are versatile, simple and they make life easier except when you are trying to put them or taking off after a long day out.  Other than that they are a heaven sent gift.

The main item from my 'I don't feel like dressing up' look is definitely my sweater.  Sweaters are just perfect.  The one I'm wearing is from Mr Price, it is fun and affordable.  Sweaters come in all types of designs with different slogans, images and other things of that sort.  I could probably live in sweaters, oversized sweaters to be exact. They are just so cozy.....let me not get carried away.

Now for the rest of my outfit. An outfit is not complete without some combat boots right? In summer I'm all about jelly shoes and in winter it's all about the combat boots.  My necklace is from Jay Jays,  I got it sometime ago and it is starting to chip but I think it adds to my look.  It is just long and cool.  It is very entertaining and is great way to get yourself out of an award situation.

I wore some burgundy lipstick to add some colour and that is it for today's look.

It's back to school on Monday and I am not feeling it. The weather is not agreeing (I can see those trees swayimg from my bedroom window), neither am I but I have to go so let me not think about it just yet.

The holidays have gone by rather quickly. It is only now that that I am starting to do anything constructive(the life of a procrastinator) .  I've been staying up until the early hours of the morning reading which happens to be my favourite thing because I just get lost in the book and I don't want it to end but I want it to.  I have also been drawing, DIYing, taking pictures, skateboarding and doing all sorts of fun things like that. I am trying to make the most of what's left of the holidays.

I think this outfit is very me. I don't know really, I also think that my style changes on a weekly basis but my combat boots will always be my favourite.  I just like how cool and edgy they make me feel. They make every outfit a bit more casual.

I tried working with some layers in this outfit.  Minimal but a good start. I thank the girl I saw in Grazia magazine. Layering is the perfect winter trend. I mean when it's cold outside you want to wear just about everything in your closet. Layering allows you to do that. Well, maybe not everything but whatever works for you.  Whatever floats your goat (I think it's funny okay).

The skater skirt has always been my thing and now that I also have a skateboard I feel like I am winning at life. In haven't tried riding my skateboard while wearing a skater skirt.  I should probably try it after a little more practice because I don't want any  scraped knees or Marilyn Monroe moments.

The sweater, so warm, so cozy, so fabulous.  Oversized sweaters are the way to go.  I did a whole post about them which you can check here. Who needs a thrift store when you have your moms closet? I'm always looking for hidden gems in my mom's closet and I am never disappointed. Guess she was quite the fashiosta back in her day. 

Stalkings are actual life savers.  I don't think you are going to see my legs anytime soon. When I want to wear a skirt and it's cold, the answer is a pair of stalkings. Let's just hope it doesn't get any colder.

I got the bag for R99. That's right, I did not skip a digit. I told you I am good at sales. I almost never buy anything at the full price.  Stick with me and I will teach you bthe tricks. The bag is way smaller than my backpack which makes it hard for me. I need to take all my belongings. Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind.

I bought the travel journal at the beginning of the holidays.  Unfortunately it is still empty but I am hoping to travel soon.  I want to meet new people, see great things and fill the pages of my travel journal.  I think I was bitten by the wanderlust bug.

Temporary tattoos are making a huge comeback. They remind me of the good old days when we got temporary tattoos for free with different types of candy or was it just me? I recently purchased some temporary tattoos from Lovisa, yeah you have to pay for them now but there is not much to complain about because I got them for only R30. I have a thing for sale items.

A temporary tattoo makes the perfect accessory for a music festival or a day at the beach. They are fun and stylish,  which is what we are always aiming for. They are also versatile and unique.  You can play around with them. Apply the on your ankle, wrist, shoulder,  wherever you want.  No one is going to stop you.

There are so many different designs to choose from,  you are bound to find one that suits your style. There are geometric shapes, butterflies, flowers, various patterns. As a matter of fact whatever you can think of there is probably a temporary tattoo of it.

The temporary tattoos last for approximately 5 days when they are well taken care. The packaging states that you must remove it with some alcohol but you can wait for it to fade away or a little soap and some scrubbing can also do the trick.

One problem is that it is not easy finding a spot to apply it when it is winter and you are wearing a turtleneck, a scarf, a coat, stalkings and thigh high boots.  I wouldn't recommend them for winter.

Since I have purchased my temporary tattoos and I don't want to put them away until summer I decided to do a little DIY. I applied a temporary tattoo on a flower pot. I absolutely love how it turned out and I think I will tattooing a whole lot of other things and I will definitely purchase them again in Summer.

I always enjoy trying out new things. I recently purchased an Inglot lipstick from their matte range. Which was not entirely new as I have read hundreds of reviews and come across even more pictures on Tumblr.

It is my first matte lipstick and I am really impressed. What I don't like however, is that it dries out my lips but a little petroleum jelly easily comes to the rescue.

Picking a colour was the hardest part. With so many shades to pick from, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I wanted to buy all of them but with a limited budget I ended up picking a burgundy shade which I think complements my complexion. Let's not forget that it is also the same shade as 75% of the lipsticks I own.

I've noticed that the lipstick lasts for quite some time, which is of course a good thing.  Although I always  say items don't have seasons I find that darker shades of lipstick are great for the colder months. I think the burgundy matte shade is wonderful for adding some colour without being ultra bright.

The lipstick was R189 which I think is a good price. It has a great colour,  lasts for quite some time and don't forget that is matte. My first experience with matte lipstick was a success. I will definitely try it out again in many other shades.

A different day, a different kimono. I guess you could say they are my thing. This kimono has a a really cool pattern and is a maroonish colour. I really love the frills as they add a bohemian feel and they are really entertaining.

I wore all black under my kimono because I guess that is also my thing. I would also advise it if you want to experiment with patterns but mixing patterns can be cool too.

One thing I tried out in this outfit is the hat and I like it. I'm not entirely sure what type of hat but it is a pretty awesome hat. Hats are fantastic for hiding a bad hair which I definitely didn't have because my sister braided my hair into a mowhawk.

As I stated in my previous post thigh high socks are pretty cool and naturally I had to wear them. The best part about these socks are that they have different coloured spots. Which makes them pretty special, almost like a little galaxy.

And the jelly shoes and the choker? I wear those almost all the time.
