I have to admit that I spend way too much time on the internet but with so many amazing apps it is hard not to. Some just help me to procrastinate but others prove to be really useful. I have found that some apps can be utilized to grow blog traffic and to interact with fellow bloggers

Twitter is by far my favourite app, it's such a wonderful tool to promote your blog and interact with many amazing bloggers. Everyone is always willing to help, if you are unsure about something you can easily ask a fellow blogger and they will happily answer. What I also love are retweet accounts, many of them have way more followers than myself which helps me get my blog out to more people. Twitter chats are the best, most of them are at night and it's the perfect way to end the day. A picture tells a thousand words, which is why Instagram is the perfect app for bloggers. I have discovered tons of bloggers from using Instagram. It's all about the hashtags, my favourites being #fbloggers, #bbloggers, #lbloggers, #cbloggers. They always help me discover new blogs to read and help people find my blog. 

If you want all your favourite blogs in one place, Bloglovin is the app for you. I have lost count of how many times I have discovered a new blog and forgotten to look at the name but that no longer happens because I always remember to give them a follow on Bloglovin. Therefore I can also i can stay updated with new posts. Bloglovin can help to keep track of your blog. You can keep count of your followers and which posts your readers like .

I am very new to Pinterest and I am yet to try Facebook but I have heard many great stories about them from other bloggers. Hopefully I will be sharing mine very soon.

I still remember my first u-tube skirt, it is a neon pink colour and even though I cringe when looking at it now, I was the happiest person I finally saved up enough money to purchase it. Since then my style has changed but my my collection of u-tube skirts has continued to grow. I love how versatile they are and how one can style them in different ways. Below I shared two simple ways to wear a u-tube skirt. 

When purchasing a u-tube skirt don't be afraid to go for bold prints and bright colours. These make it easier to work with the skirt to make it the centre of attention. I went for the black top and shoes to make the skirt stand out even more. 

At times when you don't want the skirt to take the spotlight it is good to opt for a loose fitting top. One with entricate detail will definitely do the trick and a plain skirt would be the better option. Another way to get attention away from the skirt is to wear a statement piece such as a necklace or kimono.

I always enjoy discovering new blogs and I have found that the best way is through blog link ups, this is when other bloggers share their favourite bloggers, Instagrammers et cetera. Naturally I had to make my own, in my 'Look at what I found' series I will be sharing bloggers, Youtubers, online stores, just about anything that I have discovered and you have to know about. She is one of the people that inspired me to do this link up. I have been following her for quite some time now, both on her blog and her Instagram. I love her cute little doodles and her style of art . I have discovered so many creative bloggers through her monthly blogroll. I'm really happy I discovered Found Some Paper before that I was very unaware of the creative blogosphere but now I can compile an entire post on creative bloggers. By following her journey I have really been inspired me to create some of my own work. 

A little craft in your day:

I have always been a crafty girl, one of the first posts I shared on this blog was a DIY I have since drifted away from that a little but I will surely be doing more in the new year, so look out for that. Not too long ago I was googling some Tumblr DIYs because who doesn't like some Tumblr DIYs? I am really glad I found this blog, there are lots of DIYs that I really want to try. This guy is really creative, if only there was a way to absorb creativity. This blog is filled with countless projects, A little craft in your day has definitely added a lot of craft in my day.

Last but not least is yet another recent discovery. I really enjoy reading her blog and I want everything in her store. So if you want to buy me a Christmas present look no further. I have learnt a lot since I have stared drawing, not only about art but things such as hard work, perseverance and taking risks. I think one of the most important lessons I have learnt is that I have got to be prapared to fail. There are days when I have spent hours on a drawing and the final product is not exactly what I expected but I love drawing and I know that failing is part of succeeding. A quote by Scott Adams says, 'Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which one's to keep. '

I also think that comparing yourself to others is the worst thing one can do. It's good to look at other people's work and take inspiration but when you start comparing it to your own a problem arises. Art is not a competition, you mustn't try to become better than your neighbour but you have to try and be better than the person you were yesterday. I always struggle with drawing hair but I can't help but notice that it gets better with every drawing and that makes me happy despite knowing that there loads of people that can do it better than me.

I'm really happy decided to embark on this journey. I hope I can inspire people and make them realise that you can achieve whatever you want through hard work. I have discovered so many talented artists and I have learnt so much about myself in such a short period of time. It is so amazing and I can wait to grow some more! It seems as though all my recent post s have been starting with a little sentence about summer, how great it is and how much I am enjoying the weather. I hope from that you can tell how big of a fan I am of this season. I am always ready for summer and but there are a few items I cannot survive summer without.  

Sunnies (Factorie):

What is cooler than a pair of sunnies? Go bold, step out of the box! This is the season of the sunglasses. Don't be afraid to try something new, take a look at my mini sunglass collection here.

A pair of shorts (Factorie):

Life is too short not to wear a pair of shorts. Whether they may be short shorts, mom short, workout-shorts-that-I-just-chill-in-because-they-are-super-comfy shorts. Whatever kind they are, shorts are a staple for the summer. 

Mason jar or a daisy drinker (Typo): : 

I admit, this one is purely for the aesthetic appeal but water does taste a little better from a cute jar rather than a plain old glass, right? I like to add some lemon and mint leaves in my water for an extra refreshing drink on the warm days. 

A hat :

I love hats! The main reason behind that is that they are stylish but still serve a great purpose. Looks like Hannah Montana isn't the only one getting the best of both worlds. I love this felt hat, it is so big and cool. I couldn't ask for anything else. 

Sunscreen:

We cannot forget some sun screen! Gotta be protected from the sun's UVA and UVB rays. I struggle to find products that are suitable for my skin, right now I'm loving this tissue oil with SPF 25 from Justine. It keeps my skin hydrated while protecting it from the sun. Looks like I'm getting the best of both worlds yet again. 

Light jacket (Cotton On):

The weather is very confusing, some days that light breeze comes along and my mother insists I grab a jacket. Therefore, a light jacket is a must. One that can keep you warm at that moment and can easily be thrown off later during the day and by thrown off I mean gently taken and neatly folded away.

I love world cups, that is the time you are most likely to find me keeping up with the world of sports. The recent Rugby world cup saw me staying updated with the matches and sitting on the edge of my seat whenever South Africa was playing. I was heartbroken when we were knocked out but that's a story for another day.  

Today I want to tell you about the #AfricaAsOne campaign by DHL Express Sub-Saharan. This campaign has made me realise the unity a world cup can bring. It all started in October 2014, DHL Express Sub-Saharan embarked on a journey to pass one rugby ball from hand-to-hand through 42 countries in 52 weeks. Africans are known for their role in the world of soccer so why a rugby ball? This campaign is about taking rugby to Africa and Africa to the world and I think they definitely succeeded. 

The journey started in Cape Town, South Africa and continued to Lesotho, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, the list goes on until ultimately arriving in England ahead of the 2015 Rugby World Cup. This odyssey truly captured the beauty of Africa. It is not just about following a rugby ball around the world but through this campaign I have definitely learned a lot about this continent and I have added some countries to my bucketlist of places to visit one day. 

With every video on DHL Africa YouTube channel you get to see a little bit of Africa unfold. The immense talent that lies in this continent, the dishes of the various people , the wonders of every country. This journey is the story of Africa unlike no other.

This was one epic journey by DHL Express Sub-Saharan I never thought I would say this but I think I may be a little bit jealous of this rugby ball.

I somehow put away Jamaican jelly heels away this winter . I really don't know how it happened but as the temperature continues to rise I found myself digging in my closet looking for them. They are versatile, whenever I pick out an outfit and have no idea which shoes will go with it, they have my back. 

I feel like I am going to be living in shorts for the rest of this season. I'm currently loving this pair that my mom picked out for me a while ago(she knows me too well). It has a cute embroidery of roses the side, it adds a nice touch to the usual high waisted blue shorts.

I have lost count of the amount of black tops I own, they just make life easier. Except when you are looking for a specific on in a sea of black tops. I went for my black cropped top because you can never go wrong with a black-top-blue-jeans combo. The blazer is something borrowed from my sister's closet. I adore the print and the light fabric of the blazer. I think I am going to be borrowing this quite a few more times.

I have learnt the importance of keeping healthy hands. It took me a while to realise this but I have been taking several steps to taking better care of my hands and nails. In this post I'll be sharing the three hand lotions I always use

La Parfum Crème Trinitè M'adore

I might not be able to pronounce the name or tell you what it means but there are a few things that I can tell you about this hand lotion. It leaves your hands feeling hydrated while leaving behind a lovely shimmer. The hand lotion is fragranced with Orange and Cedar Wood, Sandalwood, vanilla and musk. If you have no idea how that smells, it almost like what a bunch of roses smells like. I have found that the scent can be a little strong and overpowering but it contains tiny specks of glitter so I'm happy. 

Nivea Body Moisturiser

This is no newcomer to my blog. Thanks to its petite size I can carry this little lotion wherever I go. I don't just use it for my hands but for whichever other body part may need moisturising throughout the day. This body moisturiser is rich and contains hydra IQ which aims at nourishing and hydrating dry skin. I have however, noticed that it wears of rather quickly but it's nothing more lotion won't fix. More is more, right?

Oh So Heavenly: Happy Hands

The name says it all. This hand lotion is currently my hands' best friend and I featured it in my '6 Easy Steps To Get Healthier Hands And Nails' post. I love its subtle scent of Milk and Yoghurt. These two ingredients also help nourish and hydrate the skin. It contains to provide the skin with vital hydration and make the skin more soft andvsupple. I'm very happy with the results and I think it's the ultimate way to give your hands the attention they need.

It's November and we are only 48 days away from Christmas. This year is definitely in a hurry, so let's not waste anytime and get into this month's wishlist! 

I have never tried any beauty products from Topshop and after seeing them on various blogs I think it is about time. I am loving pastel hues in nail polishes and this one from Topshop is just perfect. 

I have been layering my necklaces a lot lately and I think a whole set would be amazing. I love this one because of its copper colour, it has a bohemian feel to it. The layered look also adds a statement. 

I am a big fan of mom shorts and I love how one can style them but I do not own a pair. I know I know. I am loving the faded black colour because it's different from the usual light wash colour. 

There is definitely a lack of t-shirts in my closet. A plain t-shirt is much needed. This one is not entirely plain but I like its simplicity with a simple contrast of two colours. Wouldn't it look great with the mom shorts? 

I bought temporary tattoos in winter and I quickly discovered that it is not very to find a place to put them when you are trying to keep the yourself covered from the cold. This season I'm all about flash tattoos, they are such a wonderful accessory.

I spotted this bag on Josie's blog and I instantaneously fell in love with it. It is so adorable and the colour is amazing. This little tote definitely takes the number one spot on this month's wishlist.

I have not always been the biggest fan of jewellery but overtime I've started to learn how much it can transform an entire outfit. Little accessories can play a very big role, in this post I share my favourite necklaces. They all hold a special place in my heart. 

The first necklace is a treasure, it is a detailed piece with various designs. The bronze colour makes it look like an antique that has been passed down through generations. The length also adds on to it's beauty as it effortlessly hangs from my neck. The best part is that it contains a watch on the inside which makes it a beautiful yet useful piece of jewellery. 

Before I purchased this gorgeous crystal necklace I had been searching for one for a while. I just loved their natural beauty but the ones I found were plastic and that didn't work for me. One day when I had already given up I spotted it at Lovisa, THE ONE. A crystal necklace made up of various shades of purple, which happens to be my favourite colour. I do believe that was the day my life was completed and I'm not even exaggerating.....well maybe just a little bit. 

Next on the list is this simplistic piece of art. I love wearing it with darker shades as its copper colour contrasts beautifully against them. The three triangles add to its beauty and enable it to stand out. My sister insisted that I buy abd I never thought I would love it as much as I do. 

Daisy me rolling, me they hating. I will never waste any opportunity to say that. The final necklace happens to be my favourite piece of jewellery, you have probably spotted in several posts. I love how I can wear it with anything and I think it suits my personality. Well, I do like chokers and daisies quite a bit. My favourite way to wear it is layering it with my crystal necklace and my tattoo chocker as you can see in this post. 

I'm glad my love for jewellery has grown. I love playing around with different pieces to create unique looks. What is your favourite piece of jewellery?

As the new season begins I like to give my bedroom a little update and brighten it up for the summer. It is a very simple process but it is quite effective. It is refreshing and as I always say it is good to change things up from time to time.

I’ve officially decided that I prefer fresh plants for my bedroom rather than artificial ones, they add colour my bedroom and make it look so much more inviting and what screams summer more than plants? After a while of not posting DIYs I finally stirred up a storm in a teacup well, it’s just a plant in a teacup. It is a really adorable DIY that was inspired by a picture I found on Tumblr. It’s really easy to make and it is way cooler than a plain flower pot. All you need is a teacup and a pot plant. Unfortunately the plant I purchased as too big so I went digging for a plant in our garden but I am quite happy with the result.  All you need to do is scoop out your plant from the pot and pop it into the cup. Add a water little so it fit properly. 

  The flowers have bloomed, the days are longer and everything is just so much brighter I cannot let bedroom miss out on any of this. As I mentioned in my Roomispiration post I’m struggling to decide on whether I want a bright bohemian room or if a simple minimalistic one is more my style. I have come up with a bit of a compromise, I made a little colour spot, if I can name it that, in my room. It just a little corner where I can put up whatever I want and I’m loving it. It adds a focal point to my room and I think contrast between the white wall and the bright colours make it so beautiful.

Now for a different kind of lightening up. I have the warmest coziest blanket which you may have spotted in my ‘5 Simple Ways To Make Your Room Look Tumblr’ post. In winter I could stay in bed for hours because it feels as though I am lying on a cloud. However, as the temperatures rise in summer we go our separate ways but it seems as though I need not be disappointed. 

I recently discovered the website Parachute Home, it is an online bedding brand with the goal to enhance your sleeping experience at an affordable price. Their bedding comes in a wide variety of styles, colors and fabrics. The best part is that they are a direct-to-consumer brand which means that they deliver the items straight to your door. They also give back by donating a bed net for every Venice set sold, this helps reduce the rates of malaria in high coverage areas.  It looks like I found myself a new best friend. 

Last but not least is changing things up on my bedside table, it is by far the easiest way to lighten up the room. I like to swap around the items and play around with the colours to create something that is aesthetically pleasing. 

Another month has gone by and we are drawing closer to the new year, where does the time go? My sister and I decided to start off November with a visit to The Social Market Pretoria. We are avid market goers and as The Social Market gains popularity we just had to pop in and see what the hype is about. I'm happy to say we weren't disappointed. 

The Social Market takes place on the first Sunday of every month in the heart of Pretoria. With an entry of only R50 it is a win because as you enter you are greeted by a boisterous atmosphere with people wandering around, music playing and unique pieces of clothing both at the various stalls and worn by fellow market goers. 

It was amazing to see all fashion rebels thinking out of the box. Mixing and matching pieces you wouldnt imagine to create very unique ensembles. They really prove that fashion is an art as they use it to express themselves. My sister and I stuck to our 'uniform' she wore all black with a striped bandeau underneath her top and white Levis sneakers. I wore my favourite u-tube skirt, a simple black top and booties of course. They are just too perfect and I just can't seem to get them off my feet. 

Of course we did not leave empty handed. I purchased a floral print jumpsuit from the URVS stall (@ urban_retro_vintage_sisters on Instagram), it is so pretty I can't wait to wear it! My sister purchased a black pair of shorts which were only R50. How can one not buy them? An interesting item on the list is the 100% premium shea butter. We were told of its many benefits and we can't wait to try it. 

We had a wonderful time but our day was cut short because it is exam season after all and when you've got to study, you've got to study but can you guess where we will be on 6 December 2015?
